NQ64 – new venue in Birmingham
NQ64, the retro gaming bar which currently has a venue in The Custard Factory, has announced it is planning to open a second venue in Birmingham.
The Bun & Barrel
The Bun & Barrel, a brand-new burger restaurant and the brainchild of Harborne Kitchen’s Jamie Desogus will open in Harborne on 20th January.
The Barrel Store
Attic Brewery has recently run a successful crowdfunding and will be opening a taproom called The Barrel Store in the Jewellery Quarter this year.
Shokupan
Japanese Sando shop Shokupan (formerly known as Gup Shup) is set to re-open in the unit formerly occupied by Tasty Plaice in Grand Central.
Roxy Ballroom – Victoria Square
Roxy Leisure have announced plans to open their second site in Birmingham in February 2023 whilst their Digbeth site will be re-branded and become a Roxy Lanes, to mark the shift in focus from ball games to bowling.
Lane 7 – Bullring
Bowling venue Lane 7 is to open its biggest site to date on Link Street in the Bullring. The new venue will open in the Summer.
Quarter Horse Coffee – Jewellery Quarter
Popular coffee shop Quarter Horse is to double up with a second site on Kenyon Street in Jewellery Quarter.
One Star Döner Bar
Michelin-star chef Brad Carter is set to launch his One Star Döner Bar in Birmingham in early 2023.
Located inside the much-loved Hare & Hounds pub in Kings Heath, One Star Döner Bar was originally born from one of Brad’s side projects during lockdown.
Rudy’s Pizza
Rudy’s Pizza has submitted a licence application for a new venue in the unit formerly occupied by Cielo in Brindleyplace.
Deolali
Local developer Land & Estate Development is set to re-launch Deolali Indian restaurant in Moseley. The restaurant, founded in 2005, closed because of the impact of the pandemic and has since operated as a “street kitchen”.
F1 Arcade
F1 Arcade is set to open at Two Chamberlain Square at Paradise Birmingham. F1 Arcade will offer an immersive, cutting-edge F1 racing simulation experience for individuals and groups.
Paradiso Pizzeria
Birmingham pizza restaurant Paradiso Pizzeria is planning to launch a site on the corner of Warstone Lane and Spencer Street in the Jewellery Quarter, as well as the suburb of Hall Green.
Roxy Ballroom – new site
Popular Bowling and Games venue Roxy Ballroom is planning to open a five new venues in 2023, including a new site in Birmingham.
Box
Arc Inspirations have announced plans to open a Box Sports Bar in Birmingham after receiving investment from the Business Growth Fund.
Soi 1268 by Buddha Belly
Award-winning Thai street food traders Buddha Belly are set to open a new restaurant in Stirchley.
