With lockdown set to continue into the Spring. Any get-together with clients or colleagues will continue to be a virtual affair via Zoom or Teams. With this in mind we’ve found that sending some beers or wine out ahead of the session really helps to break the ice (no pun intended). Birmingham Brewing Company Logo

Birmingham Brewing Company was established in Stirchley in 2016 and produces a range of quality beers that are both vegan and gluten-free. Purchase their beers online (with free delivery to B postcodes) or arrange click and collect from their taproom in Stirchley. 

For instance, we love their Lockdown Survival Kit which costs just £20. It contains three different beers, a can of crunchy peanuts as well as a pair of Birmingham Brewing Company branded socks.

Arch 13 is a wine bar attached to the well known Wine Merchant Connolly’s – based under the arches of Snow Hill station.

Connolly’s offers a selection of individual bottles and cases of wines, spirits and beers that can be delivered nationwide, take a look at their gift packages for inspiration. Arch 13 has put together a number of wine, cheese and charcuterie packages that are perfect for a virtual get together.

We’re also a big fan of their cheese subscription box – what could be better than receiving 5 different kinds of cheese, chutney and crackers each month.

Green Duck Brewery Logo

Green Duck Beer Company is a small brewery based in Stourbridge. They produce a range of ‘hop forward’ beers that can be purchased across the West Midlands and in their taproom.

They offer a range of bottles, cans, mini-kegs and pre-mixed cocktails. Green Duck Beer Company will deliver these for free to anyone living within 5 miles of the brewery. A small charge of £2 for delivery 5-10 miles and a flat rate for over 10 miles.

Popular street food vendors Buddha Belly also regularly collaborate with Green Duck – keep an eye on their website as you can often order their tasty Thai food to be delivered alongside your beer.

The Pineapple Club Logo

The Pineapple Club is a cocktail bar and beer boutique that opened over the summer in the Great Western Arcade.

Run by the team formerly at The Vanguard in the Jewellery Quarter. The Pineapple Club serves great cocktails, craft beer and a selection of brunch dishes and small plates. They’ve recently created a range of beer and cocktail boxes which can be delivered to your door. The cocktail boxes contain four 100ml bottles and feature some of their most popular cocktails. Whereas the beer boxes contain eight cans or bottles. 

Are you looking for something extra special? The Pineapple Club has also teamed up with Lush to create a range gift boxes. These contain their signature cocktails and some of Lush’s gorgeous bath and body products.

Burning Bar Rum Logo

Family-owned Burning Barn Rum is a craft rum producer based in Warwickshire.

The family turned their hand to making rum after their barn burned down in 2015, and the rest is history. To clarify, their range includes a honey and rum liqueur, as well as a spiced or smoked rum.

Loki Wine Logo

Loki is an award-winning wine merchant and tasting house with branches in the city centre, Edgbaston and Knowle (opening very soon).

Dig Brew Co Logo

The Dig Brew Tap Room is one of our favourite places to hang out in Digbeth thanks to their great range of beers and tasty pizzas from Dough

Dig Brew have put together some great value beer bundles. What’s more, you can even purchase by the bottle or the can. There’s a 2% discount available for orders of six bottles or more. In addition to this, you’ll even receive free delivery on orders over £60.

Indian Streatery Logo

The Indian Streatery is a family-owned restaurant with two venues in the city centre. Having started as a street food vendor, they serve authentic Indian dishes cooked by the head chef. This also happens to be the Mom of the family.

The Indian Streatery have opened an online shop selling a selection of branded merchandise and bottles of their popular Mango pale ale (brewed by the Birmingham Brewing Company). Not to mention that if you spend over £15 you’ll qualify for free delivery.

Couch Logo

Couch is an independent cocktail bar based in the up and coming neighbourhood of Stirchley. As a matter of fact it has become a firm favourite on the independent bar scene thanks to its premium cocktails and service. Couch even appeared on The Telegraphs list of Top 20 bars to visit in 2020. 

If you’re organising a virtual cocktail party, you can now order a selection Couch’s pre-mixed cocktails to enjoy at home. Packaged together with enough servings for 4 cocktails at a cost of just £30. The cocktails can be collected from the bar on Saturdays and Sundays between 12 – 4pm.

Wine Freedom is a natural wine specialist and recently opened a plant-filled bar in Digbeth.

Although you can’t currently enjoy a drink in-house at the moment, you can still peruse their online shop. Here you are able collect from Digbeth or have it delivered to your door. The website is really helpful if you aren’t sure which wines to choose. It has useful filters such as ‘if you like’, ‘country’ and ‘colour and style’.

The Head of Steam logo

The Head of Steam is a spacious pub at the heart of the city on Temple Street. They serve an extensive selection of beers, wines and spirits, as well as great food and quality live music and events.

Opus Logo

Opus, based in the heart of the business district and has been delivering its Opus to You boxes throughout the year. These contain a prepared 3-course menu which will satisfy any palette. 

As a result of popularity, Opus have expanded their offering to include boxes of wine. These are hand-picked by their general manager and also feature some pre-mixed cocktails.

Simply make your selection by 10pm on Wednesday evening. You can then collect it from the restaurant or have it delivered (within a 10-mile radius) on Saturday.
