Drinks delivered to your door

With the festive season approaching fast, you'll no doubt be called upon to organise a virtual drinks session or to send a gift for your colleagues or clients. To help, we've compiled a list of breweries, wine merchants and cocktail bars in and around Birmingham that are delivering their beer, wine, spirits and cocktails to your doorstep. Cheers!

Birmingham Brewing Company was established in Stirchley in 2016 and produces a range of quality beers that are both vegan and gluten-free.  Purchase their beers online (with free delivery to B postcodes) or arrange click and collect from their taproom in Stirchley. 

We love their Lockdown Survival Kit which costs just £20 and contains three different beers, a can of crunchy peanuts and a pair of Birmingham Brewing Company branded socks!  If you are feeling festive, why not purchase a case of Merry Brummie, a beer made with British Rye malt and new world citrus hops, spiced with cinnamon and orange peel.

Arch 13 is a wine bar attached to the well known Wine Merchant Connolly's based under the arches of Snow Hill station.  

Connolly's offers a selection of individual bottles and cases of wines, spirits and beers that can be delivered nationwide, take a look at their gift packages for inspiration.  Arch 13 has put together a number of wine, cheese and charcuterie packages that are perfect for a virtual get together.  

We're also a big fan of their cheese subscription box - what could be better than receiving 5 different kinds of cheese, chutney and crackers each month!

Green Duck Beer Company is a small brewery based in Stourbridge.  They produce a range of 'hop forward' beers that can be purchased across the West Midlands and in their taproom.

They offer a range of bottles, cans, mini-kegs and pre-mixed cocktails that can be delivered free to anyone living within 5 miles of the brewery, £2 for delivery 5-10 miles or a flat rate for over 10 miles.  

Popular street food vendors Buddha Belly also regularly collaborate with Green Duck - keep an eye on their website as you can often order their tasty Thai food to be delivered alongside your beer!

The Pineapple Club is a cocktail bar and beer boutique that opened over the summer in the Great Western Arcade.

Run by the team formerly at The Vanguard in the Jewellery Quarter, The Pineapple Club serves great cocktails, craft beer and a selection of brunch dishes and small plates.  They've recently created a range of beer and cocktail boxes which can be delivered to your door. The cocktail boxes contain four 100ml bottles of some of their most popular cocktails and the beer boxes contain eight cans or bottles. 

If you are looking for something special, The Pineapple Club has also teamed up with Lush to create a range gift boxes containing their signature cocktails and some of Lush's gorgeous bath and body products - we've got our eye on the Orange you ready for Christmas? box!

Family-owned Burning Barn Rum is a craft rum producer based in Warwickshire.

The family turned their hand to making rum after their barn burned down in 2015 and the rest is history!  Their range includes a honey and rum liqueur, or a spiced or smoked rum.

If you'd like to try all three, we love their gift box containing 50ml bottles of each variety, a bargain at just £16. Why not organise a virtual cocktail making session using the recipes on their website, we've got our eye on the Honey Rum Paloma!

Loki is an award-winning wine merchant and tasting house with branches in the city centre, Edgbaston and Knowle (opening very soon). 

Selling a wide range of wines and spirits, you can contact them by email or Facebook messenger have a remote consultation to help you find the perfect gift.  They'll even do free same-day delivery if you live within 5 miles of either store and spend a minimum of £40.  If you are further afield, a £70 minimum spend will get you free express courier delivery.

The Dig Brew Tap Room is one of our favourite places to hang out in Digbeth thanks to their great range of beers and tasty pizzas from Dough

Dig Brew have put together some great value beer bundles or you can purchase by the bottle or the can. There's a 2% discount available for orders of six bottles or more and free delivery for orders of £60 or more. 

Dig Brew can also arrange tours of their brewery (government guidelines permitting) - we think a tour voucher (£15) would make a great Christmas gift for a colleague or client.

The Indian Streatery is a family-owned restaurant with two venues in the city centre. Having started as a street food vendor, they serve authentic Indian dishes cooked by the head chef who also happens to be the Mom of the family!

The Indian Streatery have opened an online shop selling a selection of branded merchandise and bottles of their popular Mango pale ale (brewed by the Birmingham Brewing Company).  Delivery is free for orders over £15.

Couch is an independent cocktail bar, based in the up and coming neighbourhood of Stirchley.  It has become a firm favourite on the independent bar scene thanks to its premium cocktails and even appeared on a list of 20 bars to visit in 2020 in The Telegraph. 

If you're organising a virtual cocktail party, you can now order a selection Couch's pre-mixed cocktails to enjoy at home. Each serving contains enough for 4 cocktails and costs £30. The cocktails can be collected from the bar on Saturdays and Sundays between 12 - 4pm.

Wine Freedom is a natural wine specialist and recently opened a plant-filled bar in Digbeth.  

Although you can't currently enjoy a drink in-house at the moment, you can still peruse their online shop and either collect from Digbeth or have it delivered. The website is really helpful if you aren't sure what to pick, with filters such as 'if you like', 'country' and 'colour and style'.

The Head of Steam is a spacious pub on Temple Street serving an extensive beer, wine and spirits range, great food and quality live music and events.

Their online store sells a large range of individual cans and bottles of beer, mixed cases, gift packs, merchandise and spirits which you can pick by range, style or brand. Shipping starts at £6.00.

Opus, based in the heart of the business district, has been delivering its Opus to You boxes of prepared 3-course menus throughout the year.

They've recently expanded their offering to include boxes of wine, hand-picked by their general manager and some pre-mixed cocktails.

Simply make your selection by 10pm on Wednesday evening and you can collect it from the restaurant or have it delivered (within a 10-mile radius) on Saturday.
