As if we needed an excuse to indulge in a G&T, Saturday 9th June is World Gin Day! If you’d like to participate in this global celebration of all things Gin, there are plenty of places to do so in Birmingham.

Edwardian Tearoom Late: World Gin Day Gala Dinner
Possibly the most glamorous way to celebrate, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery are teaming up with Edinburgh Gin to put on a gala event where guests can enjoy a delicious dinner with gin pairings for each of the six courses.

The Botanist on Temple Street serves a range of carafes filled with ‘botanically balanced gin and tonic’ designed to serve four people. The also offer masterclasses where you can sample different gins and learn to identify the flavours and botanicals in every bottle.
A little further afield over in Herefordshire, Chase Distillery offers unique tours of their single-estate distillery. You’ll get to see how their products are made from ingredients grown right there on the farm and taste a range of their award-winning gin and vodkas. You might even be tempted to pick up a bottle of something to take home in their boutique distillery shop.
An independent canal-side bar which stocks over 300 gins and has an extensive tapas menu. Offering gin experiences and ‘gin journey’ cards which take you through different categories of gin, from juniper heavy to London dry and spiced.
Another canal-side venue with its own gin distillery, hence the name! Fancy making your own gin? The Distillery offers packages where guests can choose their own botanicals, distil and bottle their own gin which they can then take home to enjoy at home.
